ASSIST A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR OR A JOUST TOURNAMENT AT THE FLORIDA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL

Volunteers wanted for 13th Annual Florida Renaissance Festival

Deerfield Beach, FL - (December 3, 2004) - Imagine working as an assistant to a Knight, working at a daily joust tournament and overseeing a mud pit? Yes, these exciting volunteer positions are now available at the 13th Annual Florida Renaissance Festival. The festival will take place over five weekends February 12 through March 13, 2005 including Monday, February 21st, President's Day, 10am until sunset.

This year's event is seeking volunteers of all ages to assist with specific duties. Positions & locations include: Joust Arena - crowd control & usher VIPs + cheerlead the audience for their Knight; Mud Pit Security - keeping the mud pit safe; Kid's Kingdom - assisting children and parents with period crafts and games; Handicap Parking Lot - assist parking attendants with patrons needing help; Front Gate - enthusiastically greet our patrons as they enter; Also, Maze attendants and food and beverage servers. Due to the uniqueness of the period of the Renaissance, all volunteers are required to dress in period costumes. We offer flexible schedules, a fun environment and our sincere gratitude.

Hours and times needed for volunteers are 9:30 am - 6:30 pm Saturday's and Sunday's, February 12 through March 13, including Monday, February 21 and two school days February 9 and 10 9:30 am - 2:30 pm. The 13th Annual Florida Renaissance Festival is produced by Bobby Rodriguez Productions. The festival is held at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, FL from 10 a.m. to sunset.
