s a proud member of the South Florida community, the Florida Renaissance
Festival has always endeavored to support non-profit organizations in their
various important missions.
n our 13 years, the Florida Renaissance Festival has donated dozens of auction items to organizations such as the American Red Cross, Gateway Community
Outreach, Kids in Distress, the March of Dimes, Winterfest Ball, Rotary Club charities, Hollydogs Greyhound Adoption and many others. We have also created unique
opportunities for non-profits to raise cash such as the "Wishing Well" that benefited the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County. We routinely offer non-profits the
opportunity to have a discounted or free space in our prestigious Corporate Row. Two years ago, we created an educational and interactive Renaissance Patch Program for the
Girl Scouts program. Since then, we have extended the program to the Cub and Boy Scouts and gave out over 1,000 patches to scouts from all over the state last year. We
have also hosted charity groups at the Festival such as the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
n addition, each year we donate cash to several local non-profits. Past recipients have included the James Jr. Fund, A Child Is Missing, Prestige Club
and the Light of the World Clinic. We also participate in local events such as the Toys in the Sun Run Benefit and the Kiss County Chili Cook-off to benefit the Boys
and Girls Clubs. Last year, we added a food drive to our Food and Wine Weekend that benefited Gateway Community Outreach, an organization that helps local families in need.
Due to its success, we will continue this program into our 14th year.
he Florida Renaissance Festival is proud to help serve the community that has supported our event for over 14 years. Thank you South Florida!
