We invite you and your students to take part in the Florida Renaissance Festival ART PANEL COMPETITION. Painted plywood panels entered by students will be showcased into a thematic wall, Winners of the contest will receive prizes and recognition Painted display panels are to be of a Medieval/Renaissance theme. Standard 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch plywood panels, 4 feet by 8 feet high, are preferred. Judging criteria will include the following: Creativity, Originality, Central theme, Use of materials, & Overall execution. First place:: $100 Cash Purse for the School Art Dept or Educator 2 Season Passes for the Educator Family 4 Pack of Tickets to Each Artist (Max 6 Artists) Recognition on our Website and Press Release. 2nd Place:: 2 Season Passes for the educator Family 4 Pack of Tickets to Each Artist (Max 6 Artists) Recognition on our website and Press Release. 3rd Place:: 2 Season Passes for the educator Two Tickets to Each Artist (Max 6 Artists) Recognition on our website and Press Release Winner Notification: Winners will be notified by email. Student artists will be showcased throughout the Festival. Please deliver panels the week of January 28th - Feb 1st, 2008. Please deliver panels between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm to: Quiet Waters Park, Festival Site Office 401 South Powerline Road, Deerfield Beach, FL 33442 Festival Office is located at the back of the park. (Take Right turn when you enter the park and follow that to our office.) Quiet Waters Park Directions: Take I-95 to Hillsboro Blvd., travel west to Powerline Road, turn left (south), park entrance will be on the right (north). |
