2007 FLORIDA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES SCHOOL DAY FOR 15TH SEASON

(Deerfield Beach, FL) The internationally renowned and award-winning Florida Renaissance Festival returns in February 2007 for its 15th Season, with a special welcome to students and educators at the show’s School Day, to be held Monday, February 12, 2007.

The year 2007 marks the 500th anniversary of the first permanent English settlement in America, and Florida Renaissance Festival will celebrate the year 1507 in Royal fashion, with the courts of England, Spain and the Holy Roman Empire recreated in all their splendor at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach. Thousands of South Florida students will step back in time for a taste of what life in a 16th Century European village was like. They will have the opportunity to interact with hundreds of costumed performers, including armored knights at joust, strolling minstrels, acrobats, sword fighters, a live birds of prey show, educational stage acts galore, and authentic period food, lending ambience for students as they participate in several educational adventures during demonstrations  portraying life in Renaissance Europe.

The cost for Florida Renaissance Festival’s 2007 School Day is $7 per student, with one (1) free adult chaperone per ten (10) students. There is a $10 registration fee per order. School bus drivers are admitted free with ID. You may choose to bring lunch or you may purchase food and beverages on the Festival grounds. It is suggested that students bring spending money for games, rides and/or souvenirs. Lunch prices average $5, Drinks are $2. Games and rides average $1 each and souvenirs start at $1. (Example: $10 to $15 will purchase lunch and beverages and leave enough for a souvenir.)
