2007 FLORIDA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL EXPANDS TO INCLUDE MORE INTERNATIONAL FLAVOR OF THE RENAISSANCE ERA

The 2007 Florida Renaissance Festival celebrates its 15th Anniversary in South Florida!

We’ve rolled back the time to the tumultuous years of the early 16th century!  It’s Founders’ Day and the village is suddenly inundated by a host of visiting Kings and Queens, all claiming this land for their countries.  War seems imminent and the only way to avert this disaster is to produce a King, ANY King, and claim him as our own.  Can Lord Mayor Percy, Tess and the villagers pull off this deception?  Will the other regal visitors accept this masquerading monarch?  Or will our beloved homeland be conquered by England, Spain OR the dreaded Holy Roman Empire?

The year is 1507 and there is much going on in the village.  You’ll find over 100 artisans and crafters selling and demonstrating their wares, food and drink of the time and 12 stages with continuous entertainment.  Jousting Knights, Birds of Prey and special themes each weekend.  In addition, there is the daily Royal Feast, boasting 5 courses of traditional Renaissance cuisine, the Warsteiner Knight’s Challenge, a daily chance for one patron to be Knighted and the ever-popular Albertson’s Kids’ Kingdom with crafts and activities for the youngest visitors.

Advance ticket discounts are available online at WWW.REN-FEST.COM and can be printed from the patron’s home computers.

The 15th annual Florida Renaissance Festival, 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays February 10 – March 11, 2007 and Monday February 19, 2007 President’s Day.
